Andromeda Vale
is a rising author from North Carolina. Her fictional works and poems are inspired by her experiences with mental illness, Christianity, and black culture in the rural South. Andromeda Vale's upcoming horror novel, Silence & the Warden, is a product of the author's life, ancestry, and fixation on the supernatural.
My Story
My journey as a writer began with poetry. At age five, my mother gently encouraged and refined my interest in the art form. My love for writing grew as I watched her inspire generations of kindergarteners to perform the spoken word and publish stories for children. As I entered my teenage years, poetry became my safe space to lament and communicate with the subconscious mind. Today, my work as a writer is rooted in the genres of horror, sci-fi, and historical fiction. Within these genres, I explore themes of mental illness, theology, astronomy, and captivity. As I conclude my B.A. in English and Creative Writing at Southern New Hampshire University, readers can anticipate novels, poetry, as well as creative and academic editing services.
